How wonderful that the New Museum could find something for the Sterns to sponsor. Just like people like to push buttons in museums, they also like to have their names on the wall!
Ah, but when the washrooms are installations, as they are at the John Michael Kohler Art Center in Sheboygan, WI, there is an altogether different sort of intersection of utility/art/sponsorship. https://www.jmkac.org/TheWashrooms
Perhaps an opportunity for other museums to consider (though certainly not all museums have the fortune of being directly connected to a well known manufacturer of bathroom porcelain).
